Chandrayaan-3 (LVM3-M4) latest update

The Chandrayaan-3 mission is a major undertaking for the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). If the mission is successful, it will make India the fourth country to successfully land on the Moon. It will also be a major step forward in India’s space program, and it will pave the way for future missions to explore the Moon.

Congratulation India, I (Chandrayaan-3) reached my destination. Chandrayaan-3 has successfully soft-landed on the moon.

August 19, 2023

The Lander Module currently orbits the moon at an altitude of 113 km x 157 km. The second de-boosting maneuver is scheduled for August 20, 2023.

August 17, 2023

The Lander Module has been successfully detached from the Propulsion Module, and a deboosting maneuver is scheduled for August 18, 2023.

August 16, 2023

After the firing on August 16, 2023, the spacecraft has entered an orbit with dimensions of 153 km x 163 km.

August 14, 2023

The mission is currently in the process of circularizing its orbit. The spacecraft is presently situated in an orbit with dimensions of 151 km x 179 km.

August 09, 2023

On August 9, 2023, a maneuver was executed to adjust Chandrayaan-3’s orbit, resulting in a new orbit with dimensions of 174 km x 1437 km.

August 06, 2023

LBN#2 is successfully completed. The spacecraft is in 170 km x 4313 km orbit around the moon.

August 05, 2023

Chandrayaan-3 is successfully inserted into the lunar orbit. The orbit achieved is 164 km x 18074 km, as intended.

Aug 01, 2023

The spacecraft is inserted into the translunar orbit. Lunar-Orbit Insertion (LOI) is planned for Aug 5, 2023

July 25, 2023

Orbit-raising maneuver performed on July 25, 2023. Next firing (TransLunar Injection), is planned for August 1, 2023.

July 22, 2023

The spacecraft has successfully concluded its fourth orbit-raising maneuver known as the Earth-bound perigee firing. The spacecraft is now in a 71351 km x 233 km orbit.

July 17, 2023

The spacecraft has successfully executed its second orbit-raising maneuver and is currently situated in an orbit of 41603 km x 226 km.

July 15, 2023

At ISTRAC/ISRO, Bengaluru, the first orbit-raising maneuver (Earthbound firing-1) has been successfully conducted. As a result, the spacecraft now occupies an orbit of 41762 km x 173 km.

July 14, 2023

The LVM3 M4 vehicle flawlessly launched Chandrayaan-3 into orbit, initiating its journey towards the Moon. The spacecraft is currently in a precise orbit, and its health status is normal.

July 11, 2023

The comprehensive ‘Launch Rehearsal,’ simulating the complete launch preparation and process spanning 24 hours, has been successfully completed.
